Ok, so I've finally registered to vote because action needs to be taken against all senate incumbents, I just have no information about any of those who will be running for senate in November. Anybody got any links?

I don't think any US TN senator is up this time around. Now if you're talking state house senate, then yes. What district you in?

There are a lot of State Representatives that need to go too. I'm in south Nashville and Doug Henry is my State Senator. He doesn't have much competition that I can see so far. They seem to be doing very little and I guess just waiting to see who wins the primary next month. Henry has a lot of money and it will take a lot more to beat him.

My Rep is Sherry Jones and she is useless. I am working to help get Duane Dominy elected to her seat. I'm going door to door for him Saturday.

Find someone you can get behind and give it your all!

Good for you, if you don't vote, you can't complain.

I just now registered. To be honest I don't know what voting district I'm in. I'm in Bellevue about 7 miles from the Davidson/Cheatam border. I had never registered before because I had never had a candidate for president that I really liked, and to be honest I didn't how important local elections were.

Go to Tennessee General Assembly Main Page and in the bottom right corner enter your address and that will show you who your State Senator and Representative. It will show what Senate District and what House District you are in.

Senate Seat, District 21:

Democrat Jeff Yarbro is running against Henry... Problem is he is running to the left of Henry.

A 33 year old unknown.

Negative: Attorney with Bass, Berry, and Sims, pro-Obama healthcare. Adviser to Karl Dean on Education...

Pro: He is not Henry. And is not part of the Democratic Party establishment...

Recent, somewhat balanced, article in the Tennessean about him. Notice the lack of discussion of the GOP candidates. Youth takes on longtime TN senator of 21st District | tennessean.com | The Tennessean

GOP Candidates:

Steve Dickerson, M.D. Dickerson

James Chesser James Chesser for Tennessee Senate - District 21 | Home

Sadly, I know little to nothing about the Republican Candidates. I have yet to see a campaign sign or ad for either.

Yarbro would probably be worse than Henry if you can imagine that. I think he is just trying to get his name out there for when Henry dies or decides not to run he will already have some name recognition.

I have sent Chesser an email and got a reply and a phone call. I have received a couple of campaign cards in the mail now from Dickerson. I don't think that there will be much from these two until just before the primary. They don't want to spend all of their money until they see if they will have the chance to be in the General election in Nov.. I've not seen any yard signs or bumper stickers for either of them yet but there are plenty of Henry signs all over this area.

It's gonna be tough to get Henry out of his Senate seat.

Yeah, I think Yarbro might be worse then Henry. Might I suggest you change your tag line to, "Any Conservative over Henry?"

I think I'll go with ALMOST anyone but Henry
