Not likely but maybe the next step would be removing the restrictions on the type of firearm you may use for "self defense". I doubt I would ever use a MG for self defense but I would like to have one in case I needed it. It would be great to go back to pre 86 gun laws where you could purchase a new MG.

As it stands right now the cost of most MG's are out of the reach of most enthusiasts, including me. It is because there is a finite amount of transferable MG's in America. If we were able to make and sell new MG's the prices would fall dramatically. In fact most new MG's that are sold to LE or GOV now cost no more than our civilian versions.
