If an individual is homeschooling his or her kids, would it then classify that individual's "home" as a "school" and thus take away the parents right to have guns in the house?

I recall several years ago, a group of homeschooling parents were trying to use the 'distance from a school' law to stop an adult bookstore from opening. I don't know how the situation turned out, but there actually could be a legal precedent for homeschooling homes being considered school facilities. I'll do some research and see if I can find any details on how the bookstore thing turned out.

Actually a very original question of which I had not thought of.

However Homeschooling = "Receiving an education at home" so the home is not a school, it is just the place that the schooling is received.

Now if they want to call my house a school I will be needing some Federal funding.

I doubt it would be an issue here in TN but in some places like FL if you home school you can get up to 1K a year from the state for doing so.....I guess that could change the dynamics some but still I feel it is doubtful.
