HCP Wait times

Recommended Posts

I just spent a couple of "wonderful" hours at the Dept. of Safety filing for my HCP. I immediately went and got fingerprinted, just so I could get it all done in one day.

What are realistic wait times for me to get my permit in the mail?

My co-worker said his took 8 weeks almost to the day. I really hope it's not that long.

lately people have been reporting right at 3 weeks, some have been saying 1 day shy of 3 weeks. At least that is what I have been reading here.

Knew someone that got one recently, took less than a month. RENEWAL on the other hand...send in your renewal asap, it took a couple days shy of 6 months for mine to renew :P:poop:

Whatever the time you can rest assured it will be quicker than it would have been at this time last year. Lately it does seem like most folks are getting them at about the 4 week mark and it seems that I have read of some even sooner than that.

But they do still have the full 90 days to issue or tell you if you need to submitt any additional info or not.

The waiting IS the worst part of the whole process.

Good luck to ya....

Some of the times you guys had leaves me feeling very hopeful.

I'll let you all know when it comes in.

At the two week mark, no permit yet. Really didn't expect it, so not disappointed yet.

Three weeks seems to be the average lately. If you haven't received it in 5-6 weeks, I'd call. I waited 3 months before I called. I received it 5 days afer I called.

Let the angels rejoice. My permit came in the mail today. That makes it officially two weeks and three days.

Got mine in the mail today too. Got finger printed 6/24 and it was 22 days today. I figure the 4th holiday jumped me from 21 to 22 days.
