Does it kill any better? Its job is to kill, not be politically correct, which, by the way, is unconstitutional. FYI :)

....the designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. "Make it evil," he'd been told. "Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sorts of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." - Douglas Adams

How long do you think it will take before some of this ammo pops up for sale as Mil Surp?

You will probably not see it come to market as loaded ammunition. If I am not mistaken a law was passed a few years back making it illegal to sell complete loaded military ammo to civilians. Most of the stuff you see is stuff manufactured before the law went into effect. That is why we haven't seen any current manufacture loaded military ammunition for sale, components yes but not any loaded ammunition. If you have seen loaded surplus ammunition for sale is more than likely built from components sold seperately. It is perfectly legal to buy the bullets, the powder, and the brass then build your own.

With that being said the components is what you will probably see come up for sale. They say it is based on the Trophy Bonded Bear Claw so that might be used to duplicate the round once the specifics on velocity are released. Personally there are better ammuntition for the asking price of most of the surplus now. Most M855 is crazy high since the law went into effect.

Not to mention that with the military's incredibly cheap budget, they probably won't be giving much of it out.

Military in the US has an incredibly thrifty budgeting process (meaning they aren't burning taxpayer money)

....But they aren't Cheap by any stretch. 5% of the Worlds largest economy is a lot of money.
