I saw an interesting article a while back talking about how differently 2A is treated in court decisions as opposed to other amendment rulings. For instance Miranda. The day after is was ruled every PD in the country complied and there weren't massive law suites to squirm around it. There were clarifying challenges, but nothing challenging the original footing. However, when ever there is a positive 2A ruling it has to be followed by numerous other "technicality" suits to force enforcement and compliance with the original ruling.

The opinions written by Thomas and Scalia are BRILLIANT! They both pre-emptively stamp out any further challenge by referring to original intent, the 14th Amendment, etc. Scalia even went so far as to personally spank (in)-Justice Stephens. Booya!

Heck yeah we are! 97% of over 50,000 votes. ;)

The majority of Americans believe in the right to own fire arms.

It is only the "Vocal minority" that gets the press coverage.

Gun control has nothing to do with crime or violance.

It is and has always been about population control.

Isn't it funny that the far left aka socialists, marxists, and communists push gun control?

It is so obvious now this is how they are tearing America down and trying to make it a socialist

country with no property rights or freedom.

2012 can't come soon enouth.

M. mcurrier,

I love you. Not in a gay way, NTTAWWT. Seeing the 14th amendment revived and given life again by virtue of precedence, by a man whom the left can't attack on certain points (now that he's actually on the court), tastes like whatever schadenfreude tastes like in a man's happiest thoughts.

And yes, the historical list that Scalia laid out identifying the times Stephens found rights where they were previously undiscovered was as fun a read as any legal decision ever. Antonin just helped him into retirement with a well-written boot in the ass.
