My Dad bought a P89DC in 91 or 92. I've had it for years. It runs like a scalded cat. Feeds all ammos and always fires. It is my HD and SHTF pistol. I trust it entirely. Shoot and clean is all i have ever had to do with it. If the DA trigger wasn't so long it would be perfect. With that said, the long DA trigger makes it a bit safer.

I used to own a p95 dc. It was a great pistol for the money. Sold it to a friend cheap and shoot with him pretty often. I bought it in 2000 I think. He used it in his HCP class, and did great with it.

Havent shot a P95 but did own and shoot a P90 for several years. Used to edc in a bladetech paddle holster, was a tad bulky but a very solid, dependable gun. Would shoot just about anything you could put through it, including my crappy first attempts at reloading .45 acp :hat: I'd +1 the above comments, it's a solid gun, not likely to give any problems or unwelcome surprises.

P95 Great gun... enjoy!

However, to borrow from another thread, you CAN'T limp wrist a P95. Anytime I've ever let an unexperienced shooter use the gun, it stovepipes.

I bought two P95's before last Christmas. Gave them to my sons since they had been wanting a handgun. I paid less than $300 each for them incl. shipping. We've all been busy, so they haven't shot them so I 'm getting them back and will break them in for them. Everything I read says they are great guns for the money. Ruger's have always been reliable.

I too have a P95, which was my first auto. Love it. For a double stack, grip still feels good, decent trigger out of the box and I have had a few hundred rounds of trouble-free shooting.
