take camera and record them drinking beer and shooting. and if you get lucky you will get one of them swinging gun in your direction.

after that file a lawsuit.

video evidence is always best thing in a court ,

I am confused??

How many beers can I have and still be OK to Shoot??

Is it ok if I have a few beers and point my car in a safe direction???

It may not be against any laws, but it is disrespectful of your neighbors.

1. If you have to ask, maybe so

2. Depends on the person

3. Probably not. Again, depends on the person

4. Not unless you are shooting in their direction.

Depends on your personal limit while you're on your own property...

According to TCA and your BAC is below 0.08%, that's a big YES.

It doesn't matter if it's disrespectful to your neighbors. It's not against the law.

As it has been posted previously, as long as they are shooting on their own property, not crossing anyone else property lines and shoot between 8am and 10pm, nothing can be done. I'm not saying I condone the activity, HOWEVER, we are on a gun forum and we do enjoy our rights we have per the 2nd Amendment. I'm pretty sure it doesn't say, "If you throw loud parties or get a DUI, then this doesn't apply to you on your own property." People have the RIGHT to keep and bear arms, and that includes shooting them on their own property, and we as citizens, do not have the ability to pick and choose who can shoot on their own property. Now if the property is leased or rented, maybe, but not if they own it. Sorry, but until the county makes it illegal, which will suck for EVERYONE, get over it. Put in earplugs or turn up the TV.

Just because something is not illegal does not mean that it is just not a god idea.

I had a similar problem this past Memorial Day. We had a few friends come to spend the weekend with us at our lake place. We had just got back from a day on the water. it was around 7:30 pm we were on our deck getting the grill going, when my neighbor (who was drinking) less than 50 ft away with no warning fires 10 rounds from his SKS into the woods on his proptery. His proptery is about 1/16 th of an arcre lot. Not much room.

Long story short it scared our guest, because an man was firing a gun that was drinking so they packed up and went home. I can't say that I blame them. His actions ruined our weekend, which was not fair to us.

Just because something is not illegal does not make it ok. Consumption of alcohol and firearms just don't mix, it's just not safe.

I was shooting out in Oakland on a friends property once. He has a creek behind his place and we were all shooting down into the creek. We made a firing line and would all pop off at once. (KimberChick was there). About half an hour in, a lone officer shows up and told us that he had complaints from the neighbors. But the only thing he could tell us was to keep the noise down. Basically just one gun at a time and we would be fine.

Common Sense Reasoning gone again!

Where's Nit Wit and Dim Wit?

Maybe they can figure this out.

agree going to the law or courts should not be the first attempt. they might be good peps and just move further away cause you were nice enough to ask instead of calling the cops on them.

they sure do sound like "good peps"... driving drunk and DUI`s , shooting drunk, busting the windows on the neighbors car, with no job, house surounded with bushes and 4' high grass..yeah..they are perfect neighbors looks like it..I would love my kids to play in the yard while those "peps" are shooting guns and drinking beer 10 feet away...that would really make me feel safe....

Dude, Really? Is filing a law suit your answer to everything?

+1; Of course shooting and drinking is a bad idea. However, unless you are actually injured you have no damages to be be compensated for. Lawsuits like that give us all a bad name. Think about it would you sue someone because they ran a redlight and almost hit you?

I'm reluctant to make any requests of neighbors unless I'm already on real good terms with them and am pretty certain the response will be civilized.

Maybe am too reluctant to try to reason with neighbors i don't know.

Have been lucky enough to only have one neighbor from hell. Every time I'd interact with that jerk, it would be annoying enough to cause me to get in touch with my own inner redneck, and I'm the most laid-back guy I know. In other words, discussing something with that dude never accomplished anything except to raise my blood pressure. He loved conflict and was an adrenaline junkie, so it was fun for him.

So I would be real reluctant of making 'meddling' requests face-to-face with drunk neighbors brandishing firearms . If they decide its none of my business and get offended enough about it, relations could get bad, and stay bad as long as they live there, even for years. Seems less trouble to ignore what can be ignored, and call the cops on what cannot be ignored. Live and let live.

Once saw video of two neighbors who ended up in a shootout over some minor long-running feud about their driveways. Its a good idea not to get too involved with flakey neighbors.

+1; but I still would have asked first and if they want to be jerks about it, then call the cops.
