My new to me Ruger

Well I went to my local shop looking for an XD9 and they didn't have one. Since I was there I looked around for awhile, shot the breeze, then over in the corner I seen this little Mini 30 in 7.62x39. I have been wanting a semi auto, cheap to shoot "fun gun" for a while and after some negotiations this little fella fallowed me home. I will be going this afternoon to see how it runs.

Anything I should expect?

Should run like a top. May not be the most accurate rifle you've ever shot, but it can be tweaked up some.

Bill, If you use the cheap Russian mil-surp ammo in it, expect alot of FTF's. It's not your rifle...it's those hard Russkie primer's.

Go with quality brass cased American ammo, and you'll likely have a fine shooter there Bro.

Thank you sir, I kinda like it too.

So far I have had no issues with any ammo I've tried. It is fairly accurate with the iron sights, we were shooting the primers out of spent 12ga shells at around 40 yards. I havent put a scope on it yet, but will soon. I'm thinking it will be my coyote gun may take it deer hunting too.

Yep, it was built before Ruger started making their stocks out of weeds
