A little Raven review

First let me thank bart_p, his thoughts on Raven Concealment helped greatly. I chose Kydex mainly because I sweat like I sprung a leak and figured leather would stay wet all the time. I chose the Raven Phantom because I could see the versatility in their design. I find the holster very comfortable even for extended wear both IWB and OWB. I wear this holster OWB most of the time and conceal very well at 3:30 under an untucked tee shirt. Unfortunately my favorite attachment is not on their menu. It started as their version of the paddle attachment and looked like this borrowed photo.

I got them for fast on and off but they made the gun ride high and lean out. So after fiddling with them for a while I flattened them and made them look like this.

This just slips over my belt (a Uncle Mikes reinforced Instructors belt) as easy as putting something in your pocket. Another look at the remade attachments.

They pull pull the XDsc in very well and I can go very well covered in a lite tee with no problems.

When I want to go IWB to eliminate the possibility of showing the bottom of the holster I switch to the over hooks. These pull in a little tighter and lets the XD disappear.

All in all this is a very comfortable easy holster to wear and use. I know most like leather but if it is that much more comfortable it must be like going naked:tough:. Some may even worry about breaking but I have even been wearing this OWB while crawling around under a car to see how the OWB hooks hold up. This stuff will not snap like your plastic fork, think more like a strip of sheet metal (back and forth, back and forth). Found it well worth the money and the wait just my . Thank you.
