Why is this website so slow it takes forever to navigate from page to page ?

I'm not getting any issues over here, what is your current set up, provider, etc? This might help figure out what's going on.

Like I said, I am not seeing any slow speeds.

Seems a little slower than the previous version for me but not what I consider really slow. The yahoo yslow plugin rates it a "D" ... mostly due to having a lot of external javascript, image and background files. Plus a lot of the javascripts are not being gziped by the server.

I have had no problems. There is, though, a code you can type in that resets your profile and my cause the interweb to operate faster for you (since it is obviously a TGO problem) Only those of us on Davids special list know of it. Try typing ID10T and see if that doesn't clear it right up for you bud.

The only speed issues I have with the site are because of an old computer system and an even older non-computer-literate dinosaur on the keyboard.

Wel I do have one other speed issue...but that's for another thread.

To me it seems the site runs alot faster and smoother after the upgrade in software.

Incidentally...

I've been in an accelerated training class all week and one of my fellow attendees owns a web hosting company in Huntsville, AL. Of course you know the conversation turned to my experiences with our current web host and the fact that I'd really like to invest in a dedicated server so that we're not sharing resources with God only knows how many other web sites.

The short version of the story is that we're going to be moving forward with this as soon as he gets back to his office next week and he and I can put our heads together. I'll be very glad to be off of this virtual private server we have right now.
