Dedication:

This book is dedicated to

Milton Friedman

Friedrich Hayek

Robert A. Heinlein,

from whom I learned

and to

Robert M. Schuchman,

who might have written it better

Capitalism is the best. It's free enterprise. Barter.

Gimbels, if I get really rank with the clerk, 'Well I

don't like this', how I can resolve it? If it really gets

ridiculous, I go, 'Frig it, man, I walk.' What can this

guy do at Gimbels, even if he was the president of

Gimbels? He can always reject me from that store,

but I can always go to Macy's. He can't really hurt

me. Communism is like one big phone company.

Government control, man. And if I get too rank with

that phone company, where can I go? I'll end up like

a schmuck with a dixie cup on a thread.

LENNY BRUCE

Why can't you see?

We just want to be free

To have our homes and families

And live our lives as we please.

I urge anyone and everyone to read. Even if you aren't a "reader", you have to educate yourself. Too many people rely on the newspaper and t.v. to do it for them. One book you ought to get is The Creature From Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin.

Amazon.com: The Creature from Jekyll Island : A Second Look at the Federal Reserve (9780912986210): G. Edward Griffin: Books

I've just received this book and have started reading it.

Here are some videos by the author. This is the first one and you can go on from there.

That sounds as interesting as a rock, but I probably would like it.

When we got married, I also got a bluetick coonhound from Powell, TN, and probably a thousand

books. She pulls quotes seemingly out of thin air, things I never imagined she would know

about. She actually seems to enjoy it, too, like she learned and wondered where it went,

all those years ago.

I've never had a talking coonhound. :D Just kidding. Watch the videos. The book is pretty easy to read. You can jump around in it the way it is written. Full of interesting pieces of history.

Maybe your wife can read it then tell you about it. The videos give a decent overview. You'll be surprised at what you learn.

That article is full of stuff to chew on. Anarchy(most interesting) Creeping Capitalism(very good)

His ideas about how socialism destroys itself, I've always thought that way but couldn't put my

finger on why. Three beers and about a third the way through. I'll have to finish it in the AM.

It's good!
