The machetes I picked up closeout. Not real sharp out of the box, but great for $8.

The N.E.C.K. is a cool little fixed blade that came pre-wrapped with paracord and a very versatile holster system.

The Sting is my favorite. Great weight and size, one piece construction and also has a cool leg sheath.

I really like Cold Steel Machetes! I have a Kopis that is WICKED! They discontinued them a couple of years ago. Thought about picking up a couple of those Barongs though.

Aren't the Barongs going away now as well? I like the handle and balance on these, and for the price you can keep one in your truck.

They are no longer listed on Cold Steel's website. Better get one while you can. I also would like to add the Cold Steel is one of the few Machete makers that uses carbon steel. Most others are stainless steel blades. Another maker that uses Carbon Steel is Ontario Knife Company. They've been making machetes for the military for decades.

They are pretty nice. I'd recommend getting a long and short blade.

I really like my Kurkri CS machete. Thing is tough and cuts like a champ. I need to para-cord wrap the handle to make it a little thicker and give me better purchase. The normal handles tend to want to twist a bit when cutting at an angle.

BTW - you need to get a full family picture. I'm having trouble keeping up with all the blades you keep getting. Nice collection!
