Help me with a tattoo...

The consensus seems to be ...."BE SURE BEFORE YOU DO IT"....i have been wanting ink for about 4 years now....I've just never seen anything that "jumps out at me".

I have had plenty of time to think about it.....i WANT a tattoo...

I'm just not sure on the design....like i said....I'm really really leaning toward the skull and snake with DTOM scribed on the snakes belly.

I'm thinking about leaving the gun out of it....

opinions?

Nah, it'll be a bar code.

J.

If you wait long enough you might get a nice set of numbers on your arm.

no, micro-chip implant.....read your tech reports on that. First it was the dogs/cats, now testing on oldtimers patients, next - you and me......its been prophesied

There are a bunch of myths out there concerning what to use on tats. I've used anything from triple antibiotic ointment to the tattoo goo from the shop and not a one has faded or discolored. Best advice is to just use what the artist tells you to use.

I use Aquaphor - its best know for use on diaper rash. the a/d oinkment or triple antibiotic stuff made me break out terribly bad and had to get antibiotic from doc. Ask my artist on next visit and he recommended the Aquaphor.

So's the end of the world... 2 years from now, according to some.

Tattoos are cheaper and easier to do... plus a reader for a bar code is much cheaper and more manageable.

Unless you are absolutely sure where your career is going; make sure you can cover them if need be.

I have an Eagle on my forearm with my ex-wife’s name on it:D that is 39 years old. All the color has faded. I checked into having it removed years ago, but it cost too much.

A few things probably said: 1. upper arm is great for the first one. Easy to show; easy to hide. 2. Finding an artist with an artistic style you like is important. There are lots more artists that are technically proficient than there used to be. What really makes a good tattoo is if you find someone who's style you like. I have work done by Jason St. Clair of Lone Wolf Tattoo in the Nashville Area and Ben Dixon who owns Lone Wolf. I also really like Dale Johnson of Mythical Markings in West Knoxville.

I have been wanting a pair of old cowboy style revolvers crossing barrels on my calf....the grips turning outward toward the front of my leg almost touching. it would be large and highly detailed. I had a tattoo buddy draw a set up...and while trying to decide if I liked it...I saw a large lady with a guns and roses tattoo on her arm....without the roses they looked very similar...I decided to wait.

DON'T DO IT. Why would you want something on your body that you have seen on a bathroom wall at a truck stop? Why do you feel like you need to have some dope head scribble crap on your body? Is it going to make you into a tough guy? Do you think a tatoo will make you look cool or tough ot "bad"? Do you have problems with self esteem? Any wuss can get a tatoo but they are still wusses.

That is what I told my son. It's exactly the wrong thing to say.

"Meep! Meep!"

Course, you might scare the girls away if they think you're that fast!

I can tell you some themes of tattoo's NOT to get done... Star Wars, Any commercial logo's such as WalMart, TJ Maxx etc, ANYTHING involving the combination of naked women and food, If you're going to get a word(s) ala THUG LIFE make sure the arist can spell so you don't end up with THG LIFE, Any type of Japanese symbols n' such - look up the symbol on Google and print a copy. You don't want to get a butterfly symbol when you wanted a warrior one. Last but not least, dont go to this guy -----> ugly-daughter.jpg
