The perfect vacation!

Ok, so Friday 6/18 I was leaving for Minnesota for 8 days of pure fishing bliss....a trip we take every other year with the in-laws and I love it.

Back up to Sunday 6/13. I leave work feeling a bit under the weather at approximately 4pm. By 10 pm I am hurling my brains out, and by midnight I am in the emergency room. By 3 am Monday morning I am admitted into Hedersonville hospital to have my appendix removed......F'n A.

Now, here I sit 1 week later, 14lbs lighter, feeling like complete crap still, and not fishing in Minnesota.

Now, here is my dillema.......heh

My wife wants to know what she can "BUY" me to make me feel better...( yeah I got it like that). So I was windo shopping on Bud's, and decided to come here for more advice. I have been wanting a Highpoint 9mm carbine, they have just captured my attention and everyone says how fun the are to shoot....soo that is the direction I am leaning in.

I'll keep you posted, please...any other suggestions are welcome...as well as "get well ammo"

If I didn't drink so much I can think of a few firearms I'd trade one of my kidneys for. I could always offer one of my brothers' kidneys. He doesn't drink as much so he doesn't need both AND it'll be in better condition.

is you appendix only worth a 250 dollar Hi Point carbine?

Dream bigger.

not only did you lose a body part but you missed vacation.

She ought to get you a Hi Point C-9 to go with it.

Yeah, If I had to lose an organ (even a useless one) for a gun, I'd make sure it was a .44mag Desert Eagle. Or something class III.

If a Swedish Maid is out of the question I would go ahead with the firearm of your choice. I'm not sure I would settle for a Hi-Point with a blank check like that though.

Not a complete blank check....under $300 though.

And yeah Mike, my appendix was probably worth way less than $250 but we arent telling HER that!

I think I would be sad about losing my appendix. It would be sentimental for me as I often compared to one. Like an appendix, I too am completely useless, but I have the potential to ruin everything.
