I like flashlights.

I generally run with the Streamlights as I can't afford Surefire. I also like seeing what performance and use I can get out of the lower cost models.

TLR-1

NF2 (Nightfighter)

Several Mini-Mag lights and other off the shelf lights as secondary use.

I rock streamlight every chance I get. I have a strion for both my home and one for my truck. I daily carry a pt 2aa or if the attire calls for it a microstream.

Tlr1's on the pistol

IMO streamlight is all the quality if not better than surefire without the exorbiant price tag they affix to anything with their name on it.

Good gracious. You two own more in lights than I do in one of my vehicles.

(and yes, I know it ain't much vehicle)

LOL, I doubt it, everyone that I own I got a good deal on yes Surefire's products are expensive but in my opinion they are well worth every cent

My wife does not understand and laughs when I but them, but I seriously can not see when it is dark so I use them all

Very Nice,

What are the purple, violet colored models?

Thank you, you've got a nice group of lights yourself.

The violet lights are a 'limited' edition called the WineLights. E1 and E2-W lights. They're standard E1 and E2E lights, sold with the low output bulbs and anodized in a special color. The knurling feels a bit less aggressive, too. The story I heard on them is as follows:

A Surefire executive, or friend of an executive, was a wine connoisseur. Part of enjoying a good wine, from what I understand, is the color and in some establishments the lighting is rather low, making it hard to fully appreciate the wine. As a result, the individual began carrying an Executive series flashlight with which to examine the color if the drink. He grew weary of carrying the OD green, hard anodized E series, so a 'special' run of WineLights were produced.

The story could be a complete fabrication, but that's what I've always heard. I don't think they sold especially well, because a while back a vendor sold a set of the two lights for an incredible value. Now, they're not quite 'common', but I don't believe that they're especially rare. Kind of cool, though. There's a specific Winelight display out there that has the Surefire logo on a wine bottle, and a space for each of the two lights. I'd love to find one.

I've got quite a few flashlights, including Streamlights, Surefires, etc., but my new favorite is the Fenix PD30. Brightest compact light I have. Best light I think I've ever bought. Here is a pic of it that I used in a different thread.

I like flashlights, but WOW you guys got a LOT of money in those things! I've gotten into building my own with dealextreme stuff. Same guts as those higher ends, but I can make what i want and not spend a fortune. I've had good luck with them.

I've got several of these. Not flashy, but they work as well as any Surefire I've ever seen.

....Anyone else here actually enjoy flashlights? I can't be the only one, so I figured we needed a thread for pictures.

I'll get one of mine up here shortly. ....

I like em too. Got a pile of them and bunches of Li-Ion batteries laying around; along with the usual pile of ni-cads.

I see it as kinda like the gun and reloading thing.

Keep up the good work.

Kind regards,

Leroy

I have been working on aircraft for over 20 years and been through some flashlights. about 3 years ago I found this one and gave it a try well I have to say it stands up better than any other. A set of battery will last 30 hr. you can drop it in jet fuel and just wipe it off are drop it off the top of a plane and it keeps on working. This little thing will light up the room to. My Surefire & Streamlight have not been touched in years.
