Daily Positive Thinking

I am ecstatic because I have my guns, both for hunting and protection. I hunt deer because my wife has a serious health problem, and needs a high protein, low fat, very low cholesterol diet, which venison fits very nicely. I have my guns for protection because a lot of good men died to make sure I can, and only a fool would imagine that the personal ownership of firearms is anything other than absolutely necessary to security.

I am pleased as punch that the Birthday of this Nation approaches, where we celebrate the actions of men who desired Liberty, and bet all their goods and their very lives to bring it into existence.

I am happy as a pig in slop that I can tell anyone who wishes to belittle my right to firearms, for what ever reason I may so choose and desire to have them, to take a hop, skip and jump into the lake.

How is that for Happy, happy, joy, joy!

I'm happy that we live in a country that despite it's numerous problems still affords us the means to correct those problems. We can openly discuss issues that in other nations might get us arrested. Our nations architects built in regularly scheduled revolutions so we can oust our leaders as needed. So we should never need our guns for protection from the government. Still, they were smart enough to guarantee us those rights as a great backup plan.

Also, there's beer.

My favorite quote!!!

George Bernard Shaw wrote, "This is the true joy of life: the being used up for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clot of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy."

This quote changes my thought patterns every time they go the wrong way. BE A FORCE OF NATURE!!!

That just wiped out every positive thought I had in the past 24 hours Mike.

Thanks

Let's review the rules of hittin' it...

Do politics matter? No

Does the face matter? No (change angle of approach).

under the current rules... I think he should hit it :D

BTW... The post should not be perceived as a death threat

My car is acting up. Only one that I have left. Other I lost in flood.

But he "Car" served me well over last 4years.

It is a time to go to auction to buy more cars. Nothing more exiting as car shopping

i noticed that only times when something positive is said on this forum, is when somebody buys a new gun :bowrofl:

before i moved here i heard that people in TN have guns ,don't wear no shoes, and wear tin foil helmet

i can understand do to nature of our hobby "guns , hunting , fishing" its common that gun enthusiast have problem with Positive thinking.

mind has to go true all negatives scenarios just to convince itself that gun is needed for protection or food source.

reality is that we don't really NEED a gun as a tool for getting a food or protection.

99.99% of people will never hunt for food in their life time. it is just Hobby

so where does Reality ends and Insanity Begins.

is it possible to think something positive every single day :bowrofl:

let me start.

i just tough, how happy my kids are when we are at a pool.

so i will read this thread from the pool in 5 minutes :D

Can't even start a feel good thread without first taking a shot at about 99% of the people on this board and leaving out facts, statistics, and history, can you? I have no problem with positive thinking, and I'm guessing I'm not in the minority among this board, or gun owners.

For example:

I'm positive you're a tool.

I'm positive you don't know what you're talking about 99.9% of the time.

I'm positive you'd benefit from a well-placed kick in the nuts. And in the interest of your "feel good" thread, I'd feel really good watching it happen.

To all the men out there deciding between the wife and the dogs, do a simple experiment. Throw your wife, and your dog in the trunk of your car. Open your trunk an hour later. Now, which one is still happy to see you?

LagerHead, When I read this I immediately felt that you were in dire need of a complete mental enema. I then to re-read the origional post by strelcevina and realized what he was actually getting at.

Thank you for opening my eyes to the passive aggressiveness (maybe not so passive) in the first post and wish me luck as I proceed to give myself a complete mental enema so that I'm not so blind to ridiculous general statements!

I have been around here long enough to know that someone buying a new gun is not the only time positive things are talked about and I also know this group does many positive things as a group that they do not a HAVE to do.

For me I am happy that last Friday I was finally able to get some braces for my blown out knees. I wont dwell on the 4+ years that I have needed them or even on the six months it took to get them after my Doc put in the order and demanded that they give them to me.

I will just be happy that I now HAVE them and they help me quite a lot. They will probably even improve my shooting as they take 90% of the pain out of my knees.:)

So I am very happy and positive about the future.

Now the Dogs vs Wife thing has me really thinking too hard (which hurts my head) the wife does have one thing that the dogs can not provide but since I have been married so long that never happens anymore anyway.........Hmmmmm?

This is far from his first time. As a matter of fact, it is completely expected from him. Glad I could help. :P

Amen, brother. This is not the only forum I frequent, but it is the only one that raised several thousand dollars to help folks in need when someone offered to pony up $100. It's also the only that helped a guy get his car fixed so he could get to work. This is a great bunch of folks above and beyond their love and enthusiasm for firearms. Some people think that one aspect defines us. But that's like saying the gas cap defines a car. Not even close.
