Got a very good deal on an XD 9mm 3" Sub and figured I needed to get it out and give it a good workout. My initial expectations were shattered after putting some rounds through it. Im used to shooting a Sig P226 DAO 9mm and the XD was a pleasant surprise as it felt like the gun was made for my hands and the trigger squeeze was just right. I put the sights on the target(foam plate) from 20 yards and was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of this tiny little subcompact. I did some shooting and moving drills and some barrier shooting and the gun performed far better than expected, guess I should have had higher expectations for this little killer. I just didn't realize that you could get accuracy like that from a 3"er.

Did have one squib out of 50 with the 9mm and had several misfires from my Beretta 9000s .40. I was shooting Winchester ball rounds, not sure what the deal was. During my carry permit qual. I had multiple misfires with Winchester 9mm ball rounds....anybody else having this problem or is it my bad luck?

Congrats on your new piece, glad you like it:rofl: I'm thinking about A XD-9 4in. Service Model myself.

Only dud I ever encountered was when I bought a new box of CorBon hollow points for my Kel-Tec and when I fired off the Gold Dots I had carried in the Kel-Tec for a couple months, the third or fourth Gold Dot didn't fire. Click, No Bang. Would have sucked if I needed it to defend myself.
