Lived in Oak Ridge the majority of my life. There isn't a place in this town I'd feel safe after dark.

I shall fear no evil. For I carry a big stick and am the meanest SOB in the whole dam valley.

Maybe there is something wrong with me. Alone, I am not scared, however if I have my wife with me to protect then that is when I have concerns.

I too wish I had more money to put together a bigger for when the SHTF plan.

The AZ law only questions someone about being here legally if the are being stop or question about another crime.

Maybe the Obama Administration is suing because Obama was tired of being asked the very question: "Are you here legally?"

I wish I was suprised by this but I am not. Not suprised at all.

This is a step leading to amnesty for illegal aliens, and giving them voting rights.

Yup, and when that happens our votes wont really make any difference at all anymore.

I've said it since the beginning, it's terrorism at it's absolute best, and it's the people of this country that turned the country over to them by putting him in office.

Voting(by the wrong people) put him in there.

Voting by the right people will have to put him out. I think it

should be obvious to everyone that the November elections

are pretty important, enough so, that if we don't remove this

abusive power situation, we may not have much of a

country left. In other words, if you don't vote this time

you may not get any more chances. It's all there is left

before you become a serf.

It is clearer than ever why our forefathers thought only land owning head of households should vote. How different a country we'd be.

If taking over the best healthcare system in the world for no good reason didn't get the people's attention, if taking a stake in our banks because it just "had to be done" didn't get the people's attention, if taking over student loans for no reason at all didn't get the people's attention, if giving a speech about an oil spill and focusing not on fixing the problem, but how we must get away from fossil fuels (a.k.a. cap and trade a sudden "crisis") didn't get the people's attention, then surely suing a state for enforcing a federal law and trying to protect the citizen's of thier state from drug runners and armed illegals will...right?

We'll this administration has had my attention for some time now. I'm 100% behind AZ and any other state that want's to get illegals out of thier state and protect their citizens, or enforce any law that supports the rights given by the constitution.

I'm wondering if the majority of American's have any idea what this administration has in mind with regards to "CHANGE". I could sense it during the campaign. If they haven't opened their eyes yet and sifted through the b.s. then this country is going to only survive as we know it because of true Patriots like many of us here on TGO who will be willing and able to stand up to this oppression and will likely have to exercise our 2nd amendment to do so.

The state's are going to start rallying behind AZ soon....at least I hope so.

As for the law suit...there are no grounds for it, it won't likely be sucessful. It is political posturing and nothing more.

Despite your position on illegal immigration, this lawsuit and the federal governments actions could have a much larger impact on our individual freedoms than many people might think.

My position in a nutshell...

"If this administration is able to overturn the AZ law, then it will show that they will be able to overturn any state law that they should desire to object to. This is a monumental situation in AZ, and if this law is repealed as a result of the federal government's lawsuit or other tactics, it will have grave, long-term effects on the state's abilities to protect their citizens from this and any future tyrannical government."

Surely Rahm, Holder, and O have delayed filing the suit until they were able to insure that the fix in for at least the first federal court level, eh?

And likely the fix is in all the way to the top.

I'd say we'll see AZ have to take this all the way to SCOTUS, and they might refuse to hear it.

I mean, the FEDERAL government suing in FEDERAL court?

Jefferson Davis didn't figure the CSA would get a fair shake there either, eh?

I just wonder what exactly the basis for their suit is when the AZ law pretty much mirrors what is already Federal Law?

I was told by a friend in CA that they have had a near identical law on the books for awhile, it just does not get enforced. The Feds have also not been enforcing their own law and it is obvious that they are not going to start now.

We all saw how Barry let the president of one of the most corrupt governments on the planet come into OUR house and try to tell US what to do. We also all know the current admin. wants these illegals to become citizens because they want their votes. This is a battle that the States must fight and AZ should not have to stand alone in this fight. The illegals impact every single one of us in one way or another whether we realize it or not.

Also, Mr Holder is by far one of the most inept and inexperienced AG's we have ever had and since Team O still has most of the best of their legal team working behind the scenes to keep all Barry's records sealed and looking for other ways to help seal their power, I dont see how they could win.....without of course a "fix" in place.

It is my hope that the best of the best Constitutional Legal Eagles across the country lend their help and support to AZ in this matter. I really also hope that more states pass similar laws before this suit actually gets going. That would make it much harder for the Feds to fight.

Lets ALL write to our State Reps and ask that Tennessee be the next to pass such a law. A whole lot of folks worked together to get our carry rights restored, I feel this is the next issue we need to pound into their heads. I have already written my Rep about this issue and will continue to at least weekly or more until I get some sort of response from him, which I will post. I beg of you all to do the same.

I have heard (?) that TX and FL are considering such legislation also. The more states that do the better, lets get TN on-board early with this. I know it will not be easy considering that we recently lost the battle to require those getting TN DL's to be able to actually READ the darn traffic signs, but our carry battle was not easy either. We MUST try.

Otherwise I agree that if the Feds can stop AZ over this that it will set precedent for them to run over all the state laws that they chose to. If that happens we can all stick our heads between our legs and...........well you know the rest.

The best way I can see to support AZ is to pass a very similar law here, and that starts with all of us bugging the crap out of them until they do.

I have a feeling the Arizona issues could easily spark a second civil war. It could very easily split the country into states that side with the federal government, and states that side with AZ.

The Federal government is beginning to have much in common with the illegals it seeks to protect.

wouldn't be a very even split. :D. Besides, it would give us a chance to fix Kali, NY, and Illinois all at once.

It makes me wonder about the Patriot Act and how

the wrong people could use it against us. I think the

wrong people are in charge. I'm really worried for

our country.

That was the problem with the Patriot Act from day one. Stop worrying so much. It will swing the other direction before you know it. They need to either help this situation, or leave it alone. The lawsuit won't help anything.

Is the Fed saying the AZ law is unConstitutional? If they are then WTF? Illegals are NOT protected by OUR Constitution so a law against them CANNOT be unConstitutional right? O has this country mired in :D and to be honest before coming to TGO I was a "go with the flow" type. No longer! Anyone have a link to where I can get e-mail and snail-mail addresses for state officials? Is high time that I put my firm grasp of the english language to work and bust some political chops.:P

I agree with you Mike. Whenever I see an Obama bumper sticker I am like a moth to flame. I want to see who these people are. And they look like average people. You could not pick them out of a crowd simply by appearance as supporters of the annointed one. King Geo II pushed the American people into voting for hope and change. There are a lot of people who felt voting for the Big O was THE only option. I will never hold my nose to vote again. The best person IMHO on the ballot will get my vote.

Obama and his now obvious socialistic policies are exposed. If he gets a second term, this country deserves becoming the hell hole it is on its way to being.

On this particular issue, let's see if they actually file suit. I can't think of any reason to leak this other than to test the waters. My guess it will be real unpopular nationwide.

We're in the height of the information age. Liberals have always been called socialists by a few. This current overuse of the word just reenforces the fact that you can sell millions of pet rocks with saturation marketing. Hell, Nixon was a socialist by today's standards, because one of his goals was universal health care.

It won't be the radical left or right that decides Obama's fate. Those folks are pretty much locked. It will be the folks in the middle... the ones without flags or signs. A lot of conservative leaning folks voted for Obama, because their BS filters caused them to puke up the GOP's coolaid. Sorry as the GOP still is, the current dose of liberalism is probably going to push some back in the other direction. The GOP isn't doing their part to make it go any faster. Going to be an interesting few months.

Not defending them, because I think they should leave it alone. They're not worried about illegals. They're worried about citizens being harrassed because of racial profiling.

They being the federal government? I don't think "they" are united in their disagreement. Some of them agree with the law. I think the "they" who are against the AZ law are looking for votes. I think this is perfectly clear since "they" are no longer trying to hide their actions.
