no hunting or trespassing signs

I've dealt with knuckleheads from NH to NC to TN who think that my Posted No Hunting or Trespassing clearly weren't meant for them. I was just wondering if legally I can do something about trespassers, especially hunters. Now before everyone gets their camo bibs in a bundle, I'll tell you that some of my best friend are hunters, I just don't hunt. I have a great respect for both sides of the argument. The bottom line is, I have six dogs that are like our kids, and I want to protect them and my wife as well. Will a generic No Hunting or Trespassing sign be sufficient or should I post a sign with some sort of bill # on it, and where can I find such a sign?:bowrofl:

You can check on TWRAs website for regulations on posting property. I think the sign you posted above in overkill. All you need is the generic no hunting/trespassing sign with your name on them. They have to be posted every x number of yards.

I know of several landowners that if they catch somebody illegally hunting on their property they take their picture, politely ask them to leave and let them know if they are caught on their property again they will turn them over to the police.

Boy, those are the No Trespassing signs from paranoid hell.

The signs just strengthen your case if you decide to prosecute someone for trespassing.

Yeah they sure don't leave much question about their meaning! I want to avoid shooting someone as much as the next person, so I figured I'd post all around my property and then put up a sign like fallguy posted on my door. THen there is no question. Anyone who ignores both of those warnings clearly has bad intensions IMO

I remember we had signs that just said "POSTED No hunting or trespassing" mounted on a tree. Came back a week later to find it shot off the tree and full of holes.
