Somebody Up There Doesn't Like Me ?

The statue, often called “Big Butter Jesus†because of its color and “Touchdown Jesus†because of its upraised hands...

...is now being called Terminator Jesus, since only a wire framework is left after lightning destroyed it.

I'll bet that was one of them there 'graven images', don't you?

Been past it several times also.... Kind of like to see it in it's "post" lightning strike form...

Maybe the Good Lord was trying to tell us something. You can talk like a Christian, you can look like a Christian and that may work for ya here on earth. But that is the only reward you'll get. Jesus said to go into a closet where it's just you and God, then pray.......

Yep, I drove by that several times just last week. Personally I've always thought it was tacky, even when they were building it.

I was going to post that yesterday for the sheer irony of it but never got around to it. It struck me as funny at the time.

I saw a quote the other day and it rang true to me...

"I love Jesus, but I'm a little wary of his fan clubs"

I think the real lesson to be learned here is that despite so many looking to the heavens - and regardless of whether there is a God in those heavens or not - much of what happens here on Earth is as random as a lightning strike.

Well, since God is telling us stuff....maybe he's telling us that Jesus is not real :D

Now rational thought(and proven science) is telling me that lightening likes tall objects and there's no bias in what it strikes.
