Tactical Kydex Beer Holster

Recommended Posts

So I saw a cheesy leather beer holster in a junk-mail gift magazine, and thought, "hey, that'd be a good a father's day gift." But then I saw the price, and said, "I bet I could make one thats less expensive, and way more tacti-cool, out of kydex." So anyways, I channeled my inner first-grader to make an arts n' crafts gift for father's day. I just need to put "World's Greatest Dad" in glitter on the front!

I cheated a little bit by using a Blade-Tech paddle. When I make my one for myself, I'll try to do everything from scratch:

It's designed to be used with a koozy:

I originally intended to glue the koozy to the holster so it's built in, but I thought it might slow down the draw and re-holster. What do you guys think?

At the risk of starting a whole nother crap storm, I have to ask, Can you OC with one of those things in a gunshop or do you have to go concealed? Provided of course there is no signage on the door forbidding it of course!

If you're doing a swivel to stay upright you might as well add a gyroscope stabilizer to ensure the top always remains up. That way you don't have to manually reposition it.
