Range report part 2: Diamondback DB380.

After hunting all over the area to find 2 boxes of 380 target loads, I went to the range today to break in my new DB380. I had shot 60 rounds through it a few weeks ago with two FTFs. This time I had so many failures to feed that I lost count. It would either fail to pick the round out of the magazine or instead of inserting the round into the barrel it would point to the sky and double feed. I am sending this pistol back for warranty repairs.

I am having to question the whole concept of a "Pocket Pistol" for summer carry. I also am developing an intense dislike for the .380 round.

The .380 does make me appreciate my 50 year old Smith and Wesson model 36 Chief's Special. I can pull that old pistol and put rounds on target faster than any pistol I own.

I have never fired a Diamondback. I have read some varying reports on the Diamondback, also the brand of ammo could have something to do with it. The wife and I both have a Kel-Tec P3AT and I have a Micro Desert Eagle, we have never had any problems with ours. Have mainly fired Magtech and through them. that's just my :2cents:
