Ladies and Gents,

I'm thinking about heading out to Cheatham County TWRA range for a little while tomorrow afternoon. I figured I'd post this here and on ARFCOM's TN Hometown Forum, to see if anyone would like to join me.

It'll be an hour and half drive for me, so if there's nobody wanting to join me, or if the weather's shiite, I might not make the drive. If you read this, and want to go, post a reply here by about noon, and I'll see you there.

If anyone wants to shoot any of my guns, that's no problem. If you could, I'd really appreciate it if you could bring some ammo, or some cash to cover the cost of ammo (5.56 goes fast in an M-16).

Here's a list of what I intend to bring:

Walther P22 with YHM Mite suppressor

Ruger MkII with ETS Adder suppressor

AR-7 with suppressor

CavArms MkII (polymer AR) with Ceiner kit and ETS Crusader suppressor

20" AR15A2 with ETS custom model suppressor

11.5" M-16 with ETS Gladius suppressor

14.5" M-16 with YHM Phantom 7.62 suppressor

extra 7.5" upper with PWS FC556 muzzle device

ETS 870 AOW w/ 11 7/8" bbl

ETS 870 SBS w/ 14" bbl

ETS / NEF single-shot SBS w/ 10.25" bbl and collapsible stock

I will have a non-NFA weapon, my CCW gun.

To late now…. But I’m just wondering why you are going there instead of Stones River; is it better? :bowrofl:

Stones River has been closed the last couple of weekends, for the holiday season. THere was an RSO only shoot yesterday, which I could have attended since I volunteer there as an RSO, but I overslept. So, I figured I'd head out to CC.

It was fun, although it was just me and a friend.

Man, it's so far out in the woods, I'd be afraid to give directions to anyone. I'd hate to be resonsible for getting them lost. lol It's much easier to lead someone out there the first time or two. Let's just say that when you start hearing dueling banjos and guys squealing like pigs, you're getting close.

Is this it?

CHEATHAM WMA

Randy Cromer (615/792-4510)

From Ashland City, take Hwy 49 toward Charlotte. Cross the river and continue four miles to Hwy. 250. Turn left onto Hwy 250 and go four miles to the WMA entrance, on your left. The check station is three miles from the entrance and maps are outside the check station. The firing range is on the left before you get to the check station and is open noon until dark daily.

Is that facility setup for shotguns?

Posted

You can do shotgun patterning there, no other equipment available unless you bring your own. It has 25, 50 and 100 yard target stands, backer boards. Sometimes very crowded, need to get the permit, $5.50 for 2 hours, at local stores. Can do shotgun, rifle and pistol, no on site range officer.
