Anyone know anything about Euroarms Brescia? It is a 44 cal Navy model. My wife aquried it and I am unfimaliure with black powder. I read that the company had a contract with the US from 1862 to 1865 but i am pretty sure it is a reproduction. is the any way to tell?

From what I could find, Brescia, Italy is where Euroarms is located... Below is what little info I could come up with on 'em:

EUROARMS OF AMERICA

Current black powder replica importer and distributor located in Winchester, VA. Manufactured by Euroarms Italia Srl, established 1970, and located in Concesio, Italy. The factory was previously named Armi San Paolo until 2002.

Euroarms imported a variety of firearms, including revolvers and rifles, mfg. by Armi San Paolo between 1970-1996. Values are determined by other similar competitive makes and models, and the condition factor.

Please refer to the Blue Book of Modern Black Powder Arms by John Allen (also online) for more information and prices on Euroarms of America's quality lineup of modern black powder reproductions and replicas.

I have heard of Armi San Paolo. Now assuming the new maker is of the same quality the gun would rank below Pietta and Uberti made revolvers.

You tell nothing of what the frame is made of. So assuming it is brass the pistol is worth 100 to 150 bucks depending on finding someone willing to pay that.

if it is steal then 150 to maybe 200.

I still wanna see pics

One way or the other, I doubt the company had a contract with anybody in the 1800s.

The gun is most certainly a reproduction, and likely has Italian proof marks somewhere on it.
