Do we have a thread or would yall want to start a thread where if you owned your own business post it up and where its at so others here can help give business. i would rather pay a bit more and help someone out than to pay a big chain if possible. this may be a stupid idea but i thought i would toss out the idea

Good idea but wouldn't that kind of undermine the authorized vendors program. They pay for the right to advertise on TGO.

Perhaps the OP might be thinking of non-gun related businesses.

But my statement still stands.

I too would like to find an electrician, plumber, painter, mechanic, etc. on here and spend my money with fellow TGO members when I need something. With the huge membership there should be almost any service available to us.

But if I'm Guns and Leather or The Safe House or any of the other vendors, I would feel that I was being penalized for being a gun related business and having to pay to advertise when another member who was an electrician was getting advertising for free. I know there are banner ads for the vendors and what we are talking about would only be a listing in a thread but it's still adverting.

As much as I hate to agree... He is correct. This is what the Authorized Vendor is used for, it doesn't say "Authorized Gun Vendor" and AFAIK anyone can be a Vendor. I'll be more than happy to visit TGO Member businesses, but I would want them to be a good standing TGO Member.

Just stay away from "The Pancake Shop." I went there once. It sucked!

I went there once. I couldn't taste anything through the cigarette smoke occupying every cubic centimeter of the restaurant. If I recall correctly, I couldn't even find my plate through the smoke to try a bite of the food...

I have no problem provided the TGO member-owned businesses do not conflict with any of our Vendor partners. Firearms-related goods or services should be off-limits. Anything beyond that will be up to my discretion, but chances are as long as they steer clear of things our vendors pay to promote, it won't be a problem.

They are an "over 21 only" restaurant?

I didn't know there was such a thing?

I searched and could not find it. Where are the instructions for becoming an authorized vendor?

There is an "over 21" diner in Morristown that is a smoking restaurant. I stay out of the place. I like to taste my food.

There are alot of good topless steakhouses throughout the country. I'm sure most of those are over 21 only, or at least over 18.

Ahh, yes, Rachels........actually in Casselberry. Used to serve a mighty fine businessman's lunch. It just happened to be in my territory.
