I have a 28" barreled 12 ga. Mossberg 835. It has the 10 gauge barrel with choke tube. Wanted to throw out for recommendations on shot size and choke tube for an up close coyote gun.

It's the over bored Ulti-Mag barrel. I was told, and read, the over bored barrel was actually 10 ga. If my reference source was not correct pardon me. The gun is not recommended for slugs and I assumed the over bored barrel was the reason. Was just interested in feedback on what type of buckshot to use for the varmints.

Did you come up with information that was similar? I started to clean the thing after the first use and it swallowed my 12 ga. brushes. Had to go to the 10 ga brush. That's when I decided to read a little more on it. It is a major boom stick with a 3.5 shell in it!
