When pizza chains follow directions like you ask

Prilosec's been a godsend for my FIL.

Me too. I can take one and go about 4 to 5 days without taking another if I am careful as to what I eat. However, eating sauce on a pizza shortens or obliterates the Prilosec's effectiveness.

I hate the fact that they don't put enough sauce on them anymore. I like extra sauce, extra cheese.

Little Caesars is a staple in my house, with 4 kids, 2 adults....Can't beat it. Little Caesars chicken wings are......not bad.

Pizza Hut. We ate their Sunday on the way back from dropping off the kids, pizza was ok, the crust was not as good as it remember, my wife wanted the pan pizza, I prefer the thin crust. I got their Blazing Hot chicken wings, they were very good. They made me sweat, which is a good sign, they were quite meaty.

When I was younger, I could eat about anything. Now, I have to order stuff like pizzas with no sauce (tomatoes) because the sauce gives me heartburn something fierce. I like the sauce, it just doesn't like me anymore.

Same here good sir. And I'm not much on drugs of any kind. I rarely take any kind of meds so its easy for me to keep the burn at bay by ordering without sauce.

Man I hope that never happens to me, it would be like becoming allergic to dairy...I would be sad.

Yeah it sucks. But I know what I can and can't eat and I can keep it in check. Just part of life. No big deal for the most part.

I find the "Easy on Cheese" part more sacrilegious than the pentagram.

Maybe being up all night, sacrifices in cemetaries and whatnot, makes one lactose intollerant?

I am the same way, I try to avoid the slippery slope of medication. Seems like once you get started, it just gets worse, ie, you have to take more stuff.

I guess I am sort of a throw back. I take aspirin when I need them and a Prilosec as described above, that's it.

They always taught that the body develops tolerances and immunities to things. I always figured that if I started taking all that stuff when I could get by without it, my body would become accustomed to it and if I ever REALLY needed it for something, it wouldnt work properly. So I stay away from anything medication related unless I'm in REALLY bad shape.

Yeah, I'm with you on that. Makes me think of what kind of future trouble could be around due to all the moms now a days giving antibiotics to their kids for barely having a sniffle..............:panic:

I'm right there with you, unless I have some sinus issues. I try to catch those with Vitamin C and Mucinex D twice a day, because I don't want my sinuses to explode while I'm flying.

You check and see if those are on the FAA approved med list?..............:panic:

That's always made me wonder as well. Same as antibacterial everything and trying to protect kids from everything. Kids NEED to get sick to develop the immunities to fight things later on.

Vitamin C is fine. No problem with vitamins. I can understand the Mucinex thing but I don't really have sinus troubles so thats not a concern for me. But if you are flying, I could certainly understand with the pressure changes and all!

We use straight soap and nothing antibiotic except what's at the restaurants.

Get a cut: soap and no Neosporin.

Vitamins and fish oil capsules.

And lots of water.

Working so far.

You guys crack me up !! I'm down to 18 pills in the morning and 16 at night. When I first came home from Vandy ( and the first 3 years ) , I was taking 37 pills in the morning and 34 at night. Would take 2 drinks to wash them all down!!!!

My Granny's husband went through a med reassessment, cause we thought he was getting redundancy. Got him down to 3 meds. He's 98.
