Sig's Customer Service

So I recently acquired a mosquito. As I do everything, I took it apart to check out the inner workings. In doing so, I shot a spring across the room and cannot for the life of me find the dad gummed thing. So I called Sig this morning. He asked me how old the gun was and I told him that I didn't know and that I just got it and told him exactly what I just posted. He chuckled and said no problem. He is sending me out a spring free of charge and said I should have it in 7-10 days.

I just had to post cause I think that's friggin awesome. Other than the hold time on the phone, that's top notch service in my book.

I'm guessing you're not the first guy to launch one of those springs into orbit :)

And DEFINITELY, not the last....

It's happened with me while working on tiny watch parts and some guns. I really, REALLY need to construct a plexiglass bubble to place over my work. I'd sweat alot less, if it were so.

Probably not. It's pretty easy to do. I was unaware that there was a spring in there. If you remove the right side grip panel and push on the mag catch, the mag catch will pop out. When it does, the spring shoots the retainer off and the spring goes flying. I was able to find it the first time but lost it when trying to put it back together. I still think I can find it but its going to take some time and I was getting impatient yesterday.

When I played semi-pro paintball, I had guns that had hundreds of little tiny set screws and crap... I got to the point, even with my Glock, where I just sit on the floor on a beach towel, I realize this doesn't help with shooting springs, but a bubble would be nice.
