I finally bought the M.T.A.C. and I like it more than my IWB leather holster. As of right now, the M.T.A.C. will be the first holster I buy for every carry gun I own from here on until comp-tac comes out with something better :).

so I tried it as a middle of back version, basically moved the clip as if it were a LH IWB. works great, just a little hard to "install" the holster and remove. Now when you have it as an MOB holster and sit in a car, ouch!

I really don't know anyone who has tried small of the back carry that used it very long, but I'm sure there must be lots of folks who use it. One problem we have seen around here is that about all of the butt shootings happen when re-holstering the pistol with the holster in SOB position. Just another thing to think about.

I sported a SOB holster, for about 2 yrs, when I carried my Sig 229. Partly because the holster was free (Tungsten handed it over when he got out of the Sig market) and it was the only comfortable way to carry that brick of a gun. :)

That said... a) I never shot my ass off with it (but have the Glock now, so there's always hope) and :screwy: it was actually really comfortable to carry that way, even when sitting in the seat of the car. I guess logic would say otherwise, but I really did find that the gun and holster seemed to disappear... even when driving.

YMMV.
