I have a Nikon Prostaff 4X32 on my Mini 14,when I was shopping for a decently clear scope I compared a couple that I could grope. To me the Nikons seem so much clearer to my eyesight, that even compared to a Leaupold at more than double the cost.I think Nikon scopes are pretty good quality for the money.

I'm replacing a Leupold Vx-1 2-7x30 with a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 on my Mini 14. I own a bunch of Leupold scopes, but I'm not scared of Nikon when it comes to optics. I also have one of their rangefinders.

I made a living with Nikkor lenses for many years, so until proven differently, I won't diss their scopes.

Also have the 3-9x40 BDC Prostaff. High end compared to my others. Very nice and surprised I could get this level of quality for the price.

Yep, OS kinda put me on the idea of a Prostaff. Even though I've always had respect for Nikon optics, I have stuck with leupold on all of my rifles except one.

Thanks for the input on Nikon!!

I do have 3 Nikons and love them.

Just wondering if any has looked at the M223 for thier AR yet?

Yeah, but to be fair to thread, I've got the Nikon on Marlin .30-30.

Have El Cheapo that came with the Marlin on the Mini.

Just put an old (30yrs.) Burris mini 4x on my Romy, still pretty clear. I'll most likely put it back on my old bear gun, Marlin 336C in 35 Rem. I like my red dot and light set-up much better for "yotes".

Do you mean the 3-9x40 BDC?

What's Larryland?

Scope is currently 141.92 at JeffLand (Amazon) w/ free shipping.

Midway. I saw the Amazon price, but almost always buy from Midway, even if it's a few bucks more. I had a whole list of stuff on the order.

Midway is always in my hands 2 days after I hit the enter key with ground shipping. my favorite place.

Yeah, I generally try to wait and get several things on my ever present want list at once, and from the same place if I can. And you're right that the free Amazon shipping is usually 7 or 8 days counting weekends. I like Midway, too.

I've been looking at these, but I haven't seen anyone with first hand experience. You need to get one and let us know how it goes!
