Applying fo a HCP

Do I need to provide a birth certificate a long with certification of completing a state approved safety course? From what research I've don on the web it seems I have to to prove that I'm a legal United States citizen.

I wasn't born in Tn, lived here 20 years , am 40+ years of age . I don't have and have not needed a birth certificate for anything for forever.

What else do I need or can i expect to cause me time and aggravation to let this state extort me out of my money to exercise my 2nd amendment rights?

Basically you take your class and get the paper from the instructor. Go to the DMV with birth certificate and $115, stand in line/wait for someone to notice you. Turn in paper work and give them the money/CC/check and they will give you a list of places to get fingerprinted (included in fee). Get fingerprinted and then wait for HCP to arrive in mail.

Like most government run operations it takes time/paperwork/money.
