I saw the interview with Gallaraga afterwards. He was smiling and it did not seem to bother him one bit that there was a blown call. Felt bad for the ump, everyone is human and we all make an error at one time or another. They both showed a lot of class after it all happened.

the Commish should have done the right thing and set things straight. I guess he was more worried about the integrity of baseball ( bow when you say it) than whats right. Good thing baseball is not all tainted with strikes and steroids.

They both are good people. Especially Galaraga. What a classy guy. Not to beat up on Joyce, he's a great ump, but what they heck was he thinking in the first place!? I mean even if it were a tie at first base, you don't give the pitcher with a perfect game the benefit of the doubt on the 27th out? I could understand if it were the 6th, 7th, or 8th inning, but it was the 9th with 2 outs for Pete's sake!
