LOL, Sorry couldn't resist the title...I was reading an older thred earlier about 10 mm ballistics when someone posed the question of whether anyone had fired sand out of a shotgun and it revived an old memory..

Many years ago, my Dad had a couple of mules, one of then was pretty good but the other named Red was a Holy terror. Red not only was stubborn but had a wicked disposition and was well known; not only for his ability to kick a horsefly into oblivion ( He could do this without looking, just turned his ears around ) but his talents as an escape artist. These talents coupled with the fact that our neighbors always had the most beautiful well tended garden in the county led to a lot of heated debates between my Dad and his neighbor who just happened to be his brother.

One evening, after the ravaging of my Uncle's prize grape vine's, Dad decided that it was time to teach ole Red a lesson. Dad got a couple of 12ga shells, removed the shot, replaced it with rocksalt, loaded the DB and waited. For two weeks, nothing happened; the eager gleam in Dad's eyes began to fade into a look of hopeless costernation and then it happened. About midnight the phone rang and by the angry buzzing I knew Red had got out, but this time instead of the pained look Pap usually had during one of these calls a slow smille spread across his face. Hell was coming for Red and he was packing rocksalt

To make a long story short, Dad took careful aim and shot Red in the A#S, and let me tell you that mule commenced to buckin and kickin like a NRA Champion bucking horse, the only problem that my Uncle's candy apple red 1959 Cadillac lay directly in Red's path. I have to think that mule knew what he was doing, because he managed to kick Uncle's Cadi in the fender, door and quarter panel. Red went to meet Jesus shortly afterward although in hindsight, It probably wasn't Jesus he met

Morale of the story: Move the Cadi b4 you shoot the mule in the a#s with rocksalt

Post Scriptum: If Ole scratch has a wagon, I have a feeling Red is hitched to it:death::D:devil::P Blue Out
