MCTS IDPA Match June 05, 2010

Music City Tactical Shooters will be hosting an IDPA match this June 5th. Setup begins at 8 AM. New shooters need to be at the range by 8:30 for a safety briefing following setup. Registration will not begin until match has been setup. Hope to see you there!

We had a good match today. Some nice stages and some tough shooting. Great to see everyone who came out.

Awesome match, awesome day. Was great to make it to a match and shoot with you guys for the first time in a while.

Hope I can make it on the 15th and hope the rainy weekends are over for a while.

On a side note: kind of wish we could change the name of the sub-catagory to "competitive against yourself shooting" or "About as competitive as fishing or golf shooting sports"... just from talking to a couple friends of mine, wondering if too many guys get the wrong idea, missing that the matches are more about fun and a good hang rather than anywhere near some cut-throat competition... think a lot of shooters who've never been to a match could get the wrong idea, even "Fun shooting" is a better description than "competition shooting"...
