I just submitted my app and forms. my question is what can I expect and is there anything I need to do in the meantime - other than get in shape?

I'm really excited about the whole thing except for one thing - I'll have to carry a *lock!

LMAO...naw...When I am sitting in my lazy boy, on my laptop, chattin with you all, my son likes to look at monkey pictures..I like guns, so image search on google for "guns and monkeys", or "monkeys with gun" gives the results...

A new guy on the site used my old avatar (chimp in a suit) so I changed it...

Nate, go check forums.officer.com and go to the state section. Go to TN and look at some of the threads of others asking the same question.

My only question is: Are you out of your mind?? Every officer i have talked to is totally demoralized, mainly because of the chief, who has given me the impression of being an over-promoted frat boy.

I'm former Metro...bailed to the 'burbs in '00. Same pay, better geography.

You'll will have to do...

-written test

-physical agility

-oral interview

-medical exam

-psych eval

-polygraph

What can you do for now? Exercise and don't get into trouble.

PS. I left, but I wouldn't trade the experiences for anything. You'll see/do things there that you may not at a smaller agency.
