Indy 500...Anybody watching? Four women in the field...the first time in history for the Indy 500!

Dario Franchitti is a Tennessee "home boy" now. I'm pulling for him, or Danica Patrick.

No. But dosen't DF drive for Roger Penske? If he were to win it, it would be RP's 16th win in the 500.

Sid, Target/Ganassi Racing, for Dario...I'm thinking.

The 500 is about a big an American tradition as there is. I still remember when they telvised it on tape delay, if you wanted it live you had the radio.

I have flipped back to it a few times and I will make effort to see the checkered flag.

I would rather they just show :D Danica in a bikini really. :tinfoil:

Been watching it. Seems a lot more wrecks this year.

The pit lane violations and mistakes this year are HUGE. 2 cars just tried to leave without tires mounted... and another ripped the fuel nozzle off.

Jack Nicholson was the one they had wave the green flag. He is still up in the flag booth and waving each restart. I don't blame him, I would do it too.

Nasty wreck at the end. WOW!

That could have been very bad had it gone a bit higher and hurt or killed some fans.

Pretty good race for Indy. Danika finished 5th and at least the commentators didn't talk about her all day.

I would rather they just show Danica in a bikini really.

I like Mike's idea!

Now, does anyone know when the green flag falls for the Coke 600?

Coke 600 I think starts around 5pm CST, with coverage starting around 4pm CST...

Pretty good race. One of the better one's in recent history. The wreck at the end was pretty bad but it could have been a lot worse. There were several cars that had really close calls that could have been involved, including Danica.

I thought the television coverage was pretty bad. They didn't have nearly enough cameras to catch the action. They need to bring the Nascar guys in to shoot and produce the race.

+1 on the camera coverage for sure...sucked.

How bout 'ol Jack Nicholson dropping the green flag for 'em...said he liked it so much, they had a hard time getting the green flag away from him! Wonder if he stayed in the flag tower for the entire race?

No kidding Mike...remember seeing it as part of ABC's WIDE WORLD of SPORTS...Jim McKay commentating.

They were just trying to make you feel like you were there. I've been to a Brickyard 400 and you can only see what is in front of you. It's the worst track that I've been to for being able to see the action but I wanted to do it at least once.

I do like the way they do their commercials.
