Eric Cantor, Michelle Bachman, and others in the House, have started a website:

The purpose of this website is to first find items worthy of being cut from the federal budget (e.g., funding of ridiculous research projects, such as why mice become dysfunctional when you feed them cocaine). They take suggestions and ask for folks to vote on which one to bring up.

This week the most requested one was to hold off on the federal employee (the folks working for the congressmen and senators) pay raise. It was very quickly voted down by an almost straight party vote on the floor of the HR.

It might never get anywhere, but it will have the effect of allowing clear identification of those folks who need to be voted out of office, that is, those folks who want to continue earmarks, deficit spending, etc. It will certainly aggravate a bunch of them.
