If they work like the infomercial says, your blade will cut through concrete after a quick sharpening!

I've seen some different verions at gun/knife shows and they seem to put a pretty good edge on the blade. Most of my blades just get treated to something like Amazon.com: AccuSharp Knife Sharpener With Replacement Blades: Kitchen & Dining <-- this

Don't waste your money. I bought this about 6 months ago and all it did was scratch up my knife. I watched the videos, read the instructions, and still couldn't get it to sharpen my knife.

Your best bet IMHO is this.

I wouldn't touch it. Try a DMT Aliner set. Quality diamond hones and a system that will allow you to sharpen consistently.

I sharpen literally hundreds of knives a year. I offer a sharpening service for all knives I have made & get a lot of requests for sharpening from friends, hunting buddys & frieds of friends. I've been sharpening freehand on japanese waterstones for 15 years & I can pretty much get anything shaving sharp this way, but since I got the KME system I can guarentee my angles are always consistent & I can do the job in ½ the time.

Definately worth the money.

Any system that sharpens both sides at the same time will do you no good. I went into it in more detail on another thread, but sharpening is about removing burrs, straightening the edge out, and some material removal to get any nicks or chips out of the edge. A tool that does not have the ability to remove material (any tool that sharpens both sides at the same time) is useless.

If you don't want to drop the $ on the set that Robtattoo has, get a Spyderco Sharpmaker. They are simple, and work.
