Ok, so here is the review I've been promising. I decided to link to a PhotoBucket page instead of adding all of these pictures but the titles should have the descriptions. I hope you enjoy.

Raven Concealment pictures by sisezbye - Photobucket

If you all haven't noticed, I carry IWB and very comfortably I might add. My build characteristics (for those trying to compare their own body type) are 6'4" 200 lb. I use the overhooks as my preferred mounting option and, contrary to the myth, have yet to break or crack one (under very hard use). I conceal my full size HK45 under normal sized (not stuck to me, but not baggy either) shirts with ease. I took the pictures with a shirt tucked in to emphasize just how close to the body the pistol is. I even took some pictures posing where I was intentionally leaning out from the weapon/magazines to push them out as far as possible and they are still very tight. The holsters (including mag carrier) themselves are extremely durable and well made. My LC model has a bit thicker wall on it. I'm not sure if that's part of the design or if my non-LC model was just an earlier model made with thinner material. Either way the non-LC model is extremely durable even though it is thinner in the walls. It has actually taken a nasty ride under my 200 lb. ass down a flight of stairs without the weapon holstered and survived (fractured my hip though). I carry the pistol holster to where the front (closest to center line) sits just behind the point of my hip (3:30-4:00). It doesn't move at all and is quite comfortable for extended periods of wear (including driving and one time I slept with it on). I wear the mag carrier a bit further back at around 4:30 to 5:00 on my support side hip and it exhibits the same characteristics of the weapon holster noted above. I have upwards of 5,000 draws from the non-LC model and 1,500 or so on the LC one. Neither one has loosened up on their ability to retain the weapon, but honestly that could have something to do with me using them IWB. They have put very very little holster wear on the weapon considering how many times they have been drawn from and that is a big plus in my book. They are extremely easy to clean with just a bit of PowderBlast and soapy water. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about the Raven Concealment products that I own. They conceal my gear very well and maintain their shape flawlessly. I will recommend kydex to anyone who does a lot of heavy training due to the ease of maintenance as well as having a nice hard surface to bump/push/pull against during various one-handed weapon manipulations. The only small drawback is the wait, but to me it was certainly worth every second.

I think the raven concealment is a decent setup having used their holster for about a year. My only dislike, and the reason I switched, was due to the actual size of the holster as it has one of the larger profiles.

I think the raven concealment is a decent setup having used their holster for about a year. My only dislike, and the reason I switched, was due to the actual size of the holster as it has one of the larger profiles.

I can see how that would be a concern to some, but for me the width at the bottom acts as a counter balance to keep the holster more stable and tucked into my body very closely. It is keeping my gun/mags closer than anything I have tried and/or seen pictures of by far considering the load. I'm not saying it is the best, end all be all for everyone but I must say that if someone hasn't found that certain special holster for them, then they should give Raven a try. If they find they don't like it, the market for them is there and the original purchaser should be able to flip it without much if any real loss.
