Best Price On .38 Special Plinking Loads??

What is the best price everyone is seeing for .38 Special plinking loads? Our local Wal-Marts have not had any such loads for the past several months. I did pick up 4 500-round ammo cans of .38 Special at the Ft. Walton, Florida gun show while on vacation from Georgia Arms @ $11.75 per 50 rounds including tax.

Looking for future supplies of such rounds. Also looking for .45 Long Colt plinking loads (Georgia Arms did not have any at the show).

.44 Long Colt might be very rare and hard to find if it even exists. Did you happen to mean .45 Long Colt?

I think thats what he meant....11.75 for 50rds of 38 is a pretty good deal...about the best I have seen actually.

Yep. Had a senior moment when typing the original post. I thought the Georgia Arms price was pretty good. The funny thing was I bought the ammo at a gun show in Ft. Walton, Florida. I had to keep it hidden in the car as I figured the condo we were staying in would take a dim view of someone with 4 metal cans of ammo staying there if they found out. Got home with it just fine. And had a great vacation.

I saw .45 LC at the Walker Springs Wally about a week ago...didn't notice price and can't remember brand now. Don't know that I've ever seen any in a Wally before.

11.75 per 50 is a heck of a deal, since I reload I don't buy plinkers anymore from wally's but usually they just have JHP in WWB or Remmy's for close to $30 - Georgia Arms can have some good ammo deals at the shows...

I did overhear one of the guys from Georgia Arms talking to another vendor at the show and saying that the mad rush for handgun ammo sure had slowed down since previous shows. They also had .380 Auto but it seemed a little high compared to some of the prices posted on this site. They had plenty of .44 Special, .38 Special, .357 Sig, etc. Glad to get the .38 Special but would really like to have gotten some .45 Long Colt.
