Hey guys, I saw in the paper that the Golf side of the store is going out of business...has anyone heard if the gun side is safe for a while? That place is about the only store in Knoxville that stays open past 6:00 p.m. on the weekdays..plus it's a very affordable place

Pokey ,one of the gun guys told me about the golf side going out and I asked about the guns. He said that the gun shop part did pretty well and he was hoping they stayed open. I do not know how they can keep that place going with as much floor space as they have. I was very suprised that the golf side of it was not making money. I would imagine of they do stay open the store would have to be partioned down some.

I've only been in there once and didn't even notice any golf equipment if you catch my drift. They had a nice selection and very reasonable prices though so I hope they stick around or at least move to a smaller location and keep the guns.

Every time I've been in there, there's been about 10 people looking at guns, and about 0 looking at golf stuff. Maybe they need to move the golf store to west knoxville where those fancy pants rich types can go buy golf stuff.

Well, It was confirmed to me tonight that the gun side is closing down as well. J Floyd's will only keep the store in Sevierville open for business as soon as they can sell out of what they have in stock. This really stinks.

Gun prices were decent but ammo was ridiculous like most anywhere else.

Hard to believe that with all the golf dorks in Knoxville that the Golf part could not carry its weight.

In Sevierville the gun side has been shrinking in the past months. especially long guns.

I was told that since this store in Knoville was going out, the inventory will increase in sevierville.

I would probably keep in close touch if you have something in mind.

I guess I was thinking of the Northshore / Fox Den types.

Yeah...I'd say after meeting Scottech at the O.R. shoot in October, he's the one out there bagging all of the golf balls to bring to the shoots to destroy them....
