Greetings,

I am asking all NRA members (especially from the 4th U.S. Congressional District) to contact the National Rifle Association / Institute For Legislative Action in effort to prevent the NRA's endorsement of Lincoln Davis (blue dog Democrat.) As I have stated in a previous e-mail which has been widely circulated, even though Lincoln Davis has a high NRA rating, he is NOT widely supported by NRA members in the 4th District. Lincoln Davis was one who voted to push forward the Slaughter rule on the Health Care Bill to then vote "NO" on it, only after enough votes had been given to pass it. He has a history of being a big government, big spending, Pelosi codling democrat.

Thus far, I have not been able to find one NRA member in the 4th District who is in support of Lincoln Davis as our congressman (NOT ONE.) As a matter of fact, the people who I know who openly oppose Lincoln Davis at the local TEA Party meetings are NRA members and recruiters. Regardless of this fact, the NRA/ILA is acting outside of the will of it's members in this district by telling us that they are going to endorse Lincoln Davis. They say that they are a "one issue" organization. What they are having a hard time getting through their heads is that the very constitutional principles which the NRA is willing to compromise for numbers (members) are the very principles for which the second amendment was put in place to protect and to defend. The NRA refuses to consider even considering other candidates who are running against Davis,...even after we have pleaded with them over the issue. The NRA is once again putting its own interests over the will and demands of its members within this district. I have had enough.

I am sick and tired of the NRA compromising principles for numbers. Constitutional principles are NOT to be compromised,...PERIOD.

Please call the NRA/ILA ASAP in support of the NRA members of the 4th District of Tennessee concerning this matter. I have talked to several people who are vowing to cancel their membership if the NRA decides to endorse Lincoln Davis in this next election. We are trying to do everything that we can do to save our country by voting out these big government incumbents from office. The last thing that we need is for the NRA to openly endorse the very man who we are trying to defeat. This is of a higher priority than the single "gun" issue. This is about the preservation of our overall, fundamental rights and liberty.

I am willing to cut up my LIFE membership and to tell them to shove it if they endorse Davis against our will. I will work as hard against the NRA as I ever have any anti gun organization in the past,...because (once again) constitutional principles are not to be compromised. I hope that you will do the same. Please call the NRA/ILA today and please forward this e-mail to everyone on your list.
