What is the current law on carrying a gun with a permit in a bar or restaurant that serves alochol. I thought last year it was passed to so so . I have been hearing stuff on the news that sounds like that was repealed. Because of that I am unclear so I just leave it in the car. Don't want to take the chance. Could someone please inform me on the current tn law on carrying in bars and alcohol serving restaurants.

I think I would have searched before making another thread about this...there is probably one on the "new topics" on the front page.

Last year's legislation was not repealed. It was struck down as unconstitutionally vague by the courts. Current legislation was vetoed last week. Veto override will hopefully take place this week.

The question has been answered and there are already other threads on this topic (that a search would have revealed).

So in an effort to head off a long back-and-forth in yet another thread I am closing this one.
