SOG knives

I purchased my first, true EDC knife yesterday. I have always carried a pocket-knife, and for a while now a folding clip knife (Kershaw Ken Onion), but just now ventured to buy what we would all consider a self-defense / EDC / tactical knife.

The SOG Trident Tanto, without the serrations.

I have to say that so far, it is the sharpest factory blade that I have seen. It seems to lock up tight, and appears very sturdy. To look at it, one would think that it would be very blade-heavy, as the blade is solid steel, and this polymer plastic handle is so thin; but to the contrary, it is quite balanced.

Just like this one:

That's a GREAT knife - you'll be satisfied with it for a long, long time.

I have had my Visionary 1 for a couple of months now. It is fantastic. I can open and close it with one hand. Use my thumb on the stud like shooting a marble and it clicks open fast. One finger and my thumb in the pocket while one finger pulls up on the clip. It's out and open soooo fast.
