He could have accomplished the same thing...using a pair of pliers and a wee bit of spit on the finger.

Silly Canucks...he should have been teaching the beef jerky eating class!...:P

I've watched a couple other of that guy's videos before.. It's a good thing he doesn't work on other peoples' cars.

I watched a guy put Vaseline on his tire plug once to make it easier to go in......I just stood back grinning and watched the process. I ended up in near "hee-haw" laughing as the plug kept blowing back out, and he couldn't get the hole cleaned up enough to keep them from coming out.... :grouchy:

The hot tip is to coat the plug with rubber cement. It will go in easily, and seal much better. Just give it a few minutes to bond. Then trim off with a sharp razor blade and top off the pressure.

did you seriously need a video to plug a tire?

Hell's, yeah! The instructions were minimal on the package and I looked elsewhere. At 39, I've never had to do it. Is that a blessing or a curse?

I just take a lighter and heat the plug a bit, shove it in and get down the road.

oops, this was supposed to be in the Marisa Tomei thread, heh

wow, how did you get that old and not plug a tire. I have no recollection really of how I learned. But I keep them handy. Both in my truck and in the garage. One of the quad tires has about 10 plugs. About 6 of them in one hole. But it works

So you saw "many" other people do it first, kinda like watching a few people on the 'net do it first, as I did ... this is so NOT going the way I thought it would ... nevermind.

Tire's fixed.

The dynaplug? Seriously? Who, besides Jack of course, can't use a regular plug in 60 seconds or less???

I have a shop in bartlett that takes care of my tires free of charge. I don't plug my own tires for that reason.

I am curious if you had to watch someone make the beast with two backs to know what to do when opportunity arose

;)

fixin' tires ought to come natural to men
