A friend of mine were looking at them online this evening and and thought they looked like a pretty cool unit for the price. Anyone have one? or know anything about them?

From what I hear they are pretty solid shooters. A lot of fun. But I hear the factory sights are crap.

Yes, and yes.

I don't have one, but a friend of mine has had one for a year or more now and swears by the gun. It's one of his favorite rifles, and he has a ton of AR's, AK's, etc... the typical friend that has his own personal armory.

Like bkelm has said, they are solid shooters and the factory sights do suck, which is why most people equip optics on them in one flavor or another. If there's anything specific that you want to know, and no one else chimes in, I'll be happy to ask him for you.

I have the 9mm. I like my AR better, but its a fun gun to shoot. its accurate, reliable, and appendextrous if your a lefty. (like me)

I had a customer buy both a .45 and .40. They were kewl and all. I still don't get the interest in a pistol-caliber carbine. What do you DO with the thing? If you want to plink, there's .22LR and .22WMR. If you want something more serious there's ARs in any caliber or Ruger Mini 14s. The Ruger is probably about the same price as the Cx4. The only exception I could see is the Ruger carbine in .44mag for hunting.

At a Law Enforcement Training Camp I attended, a fellow had one in .40 he used in the Patrol Rifle Instructor Class. We shot at ranges from several feet to 75 yards. At the longer ranges, the sights and the caliber limited the gun, but up close, the gun worked without a flaw and did what it was made to do.

This gun would make a nice addition to the armory.

It looks like he tried to fire it with an obstructed barrel. My guess is he tried to fire a round of 9mm out of it (it's a .40) and the brass got stuck in the barrel as the next round of .40 chambered, but it could have just been a squib. He's going to send it back to Beretta to see if they can fix it.

I've had both a 9mm and a .45acp. Both were fun and very reliable. No problems wih either. The .45 was a noticeable kicker compared to the 9mm.

They are fun to shoot and accessorize. I had a trigger job done on the 9mm and had the barrel threaded. Also discovered that XD mags would fit in the 9 after making the Beretta mag catch slots in the XD mags. Also put the XD mag catch in the Beretta mags so they were all interchangable. Had lots of fun with that gun, put probably 4-5000 rounds though it before selling it earlier this year.

You will not regret spending $ on this gun!

I have a Storm in 9mm. They are nice little guns. It's a good shooter and accurate to normal 9mm ranges. A big plus is you can shoot them at any range without having to wait for a special rifle only lane. My wife likes it because of the low recoil. Its a good gun and alot of fun to shoot.
