Any experience with this...for steel?

I can't afford a model 41 but wanted a good .22 shooter for steel comps and general plinking. I know, I know a ruger mark III/IV whatever and buckmarks are the thing but I want options dangit. I do like the looks of this buckmark however: Buck Mark Contour 5.5 URX, , Browning Firearms Product

Kinda resembles a 41 at the slide and has an evil desert eagle (ish) looking barrel. Anybody got one of these, or have any good things to say about another I may be overlooking for my intended purpose?

i have shot the browning and like it alot but the gun of choice for me is the ruger MKII. it is the older model but it is super reliable and will eat any round you put in it.

I gotta say I love my Mark III but the Buckmarks are nice too. I have the same as Krunchnik above except I have the truglo red dot and a red fiber optic on front. Accuracy on the thing makes me look waaaay better than I really am.

Yup,I gotta agree the red dot sights are great for 50 something year old eyes, this is the target from my initial sighting

hi,

you might look for the S&W models 622 or 422 or 2206. - nearly identical to the model 41.

a little hard to find but you can usually get a pretty nice one for under $500.

i've been looking myself but just bought 3 other guns in the last 2 weeks so have to wait a bit. -- or-- sell one of my 'sigs' -- or -- ??

saw a nice 2206 with scope on 'gunbroker' for $500. good luck with your search -- hope you don't beat me out on one.

I think the 41 is a bit pricey for a .22, sorry. I'll take the Ruger Mark III, Hunter, 6 7/8" bbl. Aside from a 5" SS 1911, best looking handgun out there IMO.
