Anyone going to the gun show in Chilhowee Dec, 28, 29, 30 ?

I am thinking about going on the 30th. Maybe the 29th if I do not have to haul liquor that day.

Been thinking of bringing my S & W model 19 and cf380 and see what I can get for them or trade for them.

My brother is getting married on the 29th but I intend to go either a.m 29th or 30th.

Too far for me, any coming up in the middle of the state?

Dumb question here, but how do you sell a gun or trade at the gunshow? The police check the gun in then you go to a dealer and try to sell?

Just walk around with your piece, you'll get stopped every few feet by people wanting to buy it.

Correction.....Usually wanting to know what cha got and how much you askin. Then they usually shake their head, turn to walk away, and say something about the price because they think they should be able to buy your AR-15 for $100. At least that's always been my "listening" experience. I've never tired to sell anything at a gun show.

Some people will even make out a banner with all the information on it and affix it to a wooden dowel that insert in the barrell of your gun. Then you just walk around and let everybody read for themselves.

Or they tape it to the back and front of their shirt. It helps if you can read and write so that OTHER people can read about what your selling/trading.

I just tape an index card that lists item and price (specify cash or you get offers for $500 in beef jerky:yuck:). Beware fake $$. I've been offered some $20 and $100s that looked a little funky.

take a counterfeit money pen, you can get them at staples, office max, office depot. Fake money has been a problem before.

I did not see even one decent deal on a gun.I did get a good deal on a benchmade 31,I was late to that table as some other guys I know got some great deals on some CRKs and customs from him.Everything else was high as a cats back.Maybe it will be better tomorrow but I am not going back.

What is admission up to now?

I think I'll stay home and save the $10.

I wish they didn't charge the sellers AND the buyers to get in.

I guess it's like tv...they charge advertisers, then charge us to get the channels.

Corey and I went on Firday just when it opened. Only about a 3/4 of the tables were setup. I picked up 200 rounds of .223 and a nice TAPCO T6 stock for my Mini-14.
