Just sealed the deal on a NIB Colt 80 Series .45. Traded a used GP100 and $200 for it. It's got a deep blue finish and walnut double diamond grips with the gold Colt medallion inset. Pics soon

What's that mean. He don't like Colt? Well, pics will be a day late. Because of all this flood nonsense my work schedule has been weird so I won't be able to pick it up till Sat @ noon. This will be my first 1911(owned not shot) I have shot and handled them for years, but it seems whenever I have the $$$, I leave the shop w/a rifle or a Glock. This guy has a new Kimber Custom II TLE too he wants to part with. Any thoughts on those?

Personally I'd pass, but then I've never owned a Kimber, but comments I've read/heard run about 50/50.

If I wasn't such a DW fan, I'd go with Springfield.

Well, I will be banished for this, but oh well. I went with the Kimber. I figured the Front Strap/Mainspring Housing checkering, snag free Meprolight Night Sights, Rubber Grips, & Front slide serrations would be better for carry.At least I came back with a 1911 & not a Glock this time. I plan to go back for the Colt in a few months. It will be waiting on me.
